Yoga Classes and Workshops

Rachel has a theme based style of teaching and incorporates the yogic philosophy, Breathwork, the Asanas, Live Music and Meditation to create spaces of healing, acceptance, joy and peace.


Locally, Rachel has her own yoga program at the BottleWorks Ethnic Arts at the ArtWorks building in the beautiful second floor classroom that views the mountains and the various ethnic church spires. She is on the Yoga Teacher Training Faculty at Yoga Bedford in Bedford County, Pa. Rachel is available to travel and teach specialized workshops for conferences, retreats and at other yoga studios.

Yoga Workshops

Rachel is a theme based teacher and regularly teaches on the yamas, niyamas and limbs of yoga, Yoga Sutras, The Elements, and Metta and enjoys weaving these into all components of the class in relevant applications that students can take with them off the mat as tools for transformation and emotional self regulation. 

Rachel  has over 20 years of working and practicing in energy medicine with sound healing, music, energy healing and yoga. She draws from this experience as well as her commitment to ongoing continuing education in all these areas studying and learning from Master teachers as well as learning everyday from the amazing students that show up.

Facilitated by Rachel and her husband JT Allen, also a Registered Yoga Teacher. The focus is on creating support, healthy communication, joyfulness, intimacy, and balance in supporting postures, balance postures and shared adjustments.

This workshop offers the space to celebrate the feminine. Participants will engage in reflective, guided journal writing, group drumming and women’s circle dances and songs.

Yoga forms offered connect to Yin energies and Moon postures that follow the waxing, waning, new and full moon cycles. Slow, soulful vinyasa and fun, funky, free movement!

The in-between time. The space where something so significant has occurred that we have lost our bearings, nothing is certain. This is also the space of immense transformation and growth, the space where in the alchemy of the soul, heat, pressure serve to reveal something beautiful that has been there all along. the immortal diamond, the true nature of who you are. Based on teachings of Father Richard Rohr in his book, “The Immortal Diamond”, this involves journaling and a Kripalu style of yoga with gentle warm ups, foundation postures, “Riding the Wave” with holding postures for extended periods and Meditation in Motion, a free styling space where you guide your own practice in moving in anyway you are led. Ending Meditation.

Yoga Philosophy and Ethics: A comprehensive exploration of yogic philosophy in our relationship to God, self and others.

Rachel and Yoga

Rachel completed her yoga teacher training through the Anjali Yoga Teacher Training School, a Kripalu influenced program in Central PA and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) through the Yoga Alliance. Rachel teaches yoga classes and offers specialized workshops locally, regionally and at national conferences. She also leads kirtan, a musical expression of Bhakti Yoga solo and with the kirtan group The Dharma Initiative.
