Blessing #5

May you be blessed with the courage to open new doors.

May you perceive obstacles as opportunities for growth.

May you allow wonder at the change of seasons, the angle of the sun’s rays through the forest, the grace that nature displays in letting go.

May you observe each fluctuation of the natural world, great or small, as if you were seeing this for the first time, which is actually true.

May you allow yourself to be fully seen by the intense gaze of a baby.

May you breathe in rhythm with the hum of insects on a warm autumn evening.

May you expand your awareness of time to behold the wisdom of evolutionary biology and of species that have existed for billions of years prior to yours and have managed to survive/adapt/coexist/in systems of mutuality and interdependence.

May you be willing to humble your heart (and your pre frontal cortex) to listen, observe and learn from other species.

May you find a reason to dance everyday, whether it be a lamentation, a celebration, an honoring or a reclaiming of one’s wild nature.
